Know on screen as Bruh_Lex, Osei Kenneth Gyekye co-hosted the
2017 edition of the Face of GAHTI pageant held at the World Trade Center in
Accra on Saturday, May 6, 2017 with the theme “Creating Awareness and
Eradicating Viral Hepatitis.
The event which last about 7 hours saw Nancy Wilson Annan of
the 37 Military Nursing and Midwifery Training College emerge the winner of the
event.
Honoured at the event was the founder and patron of the
Ghana Association of Health Training Institution, Col. Sally Mensah. She
expressed great joy at how the association has grown and urged all young people
to strive for excellence.
Speaking with Bruh_Lex after being crowned the winner of the
pageant, Ms. Wilson Annan expressed gratitude to all who supported her to the
top. The queen who was shedding tears of joy said that she was greatly
overwhelmed by the support and was grateful to God. Asked what her focus was
now, Nancy said all she was focusing on now was achieving her project for the next
year.
The winner walked home with a GHs 2000 cash price, a tablet,
hamper and an undisclosed contract with SEG Cineland.
In the second position was Ms. Sedinam Sika Abudu a student
and Nyaniba College and Ms. Magdalene Yawa Ofori of Korle-Bu NMTC took the
third position.
GAHTI is the only health trainees’
association that covers both private and government health training
institutions in Ghana. Founded by Col. Sally Mensah in March 1999, the
association has “Service to Humanity, Service to God” as their motto.
