Ensuring consumers receive their orders on time is our prime goal at Jumia, we will not relent until we satisfy our clients with quality service.” These were the closing words of the Marketing Manager of Jumia Food Ghana, Mr. Duke Kofi Adjahoe when he was throwing more light on the terms and conditions of Jumia Food’s latest campaign, “Late delivery = free meal.” 

Speaking on the campaign, Mr. Adjahoe said,

“Delivery time” is the period defined for the relevant order on the ‘my orders’ page on the app, and which is considered to be over when the clock reached zero.

“Delivery Time” is the time between the moment the clock starts ticking on the app and when the delivery rider reaches your point of delivery (gate/entrance/security guard/reception)

Delivery guarantee is valid only in Accra.

If the delivery rider reaches your stated point of delivery after the clock or time on the order ‘my orders’ page on the app has ended, you will be eligible to a free meal voucher, which you can use on your next meal order. This is equivalent to the amount of your order with a maximum of 50 GHS

Where applicable, you’ll be sent a voucher code by our Customer Service team, this voucher will be valid for 30 days following the date of the order at any restaurant that accepts Jumia Food vouchers

On Time Delivery Guarantee is valid for:

Orders placed on the Jumia Food app only

Food delivered by a uniformed Jumia Food rider only

On Time Delivery guarantee is not valid for orders placed through a company account.

In case you are eligible for a free meal voucher, follow this process to redeem:

When the clock runs to zero on your app, a pop-up will appear asking you if your order arrived. In case you didn’t receive your order, you should click “NO”

You have to reach out to our customer Service team through: Customer Helpline, email or chat. 

While you specify your order code mentioned in the order confirmation email.

Jumia Food will not be held responsible with respect to the food supplied on behalf of the Restaurant.

Jumia Food reserves the right to decline your order, remove you as a user in case of any breach of these Terms and Conditions.
