Albums You Should Look Forward to in 2016

We are just three month into the year and by far, the excitement about looking forward to new stuff in a the new year still burns among showbiz fans all over the world. 2015 was a great year for music and movies, with some high record sales and box-office records with some music and movies.

In 2016, the music world is expected to be filled with the release of some music albums that promise to make some records. Here's a list of some albums to look forward to and some reasons why you should:

VIEWS FROM THE 6 by Drake - Drake has his finger on the pulse of what’s hip and happening and hip-hop-happening. The album is dedicated to Drake's city Toronto, which has the code number is 6, this is why the multiple awards winning artiste chose to use “6” in naming the album. Drake already has two number ones with Hotline Bling and one featured on Rihanna's "Work". Things are really looking good for him as the world awaits this new project. He’s a perfectionist. He makes good albums and he has been working on this one longer and harder than anything he’s done. We anticipating for release of the expected to be record album from Drake in April.

KING PUSH by Pusha T - Pusha recorded the songs on King Push at the same time as Darkest Before Dawn. Pusha has hinted that King Push has features from people we have not heard from in 18 years. Who do you have in mind? I guess we will have to wait till spring to find out.

Beyonce (album named unconfirmed) - We know next to nothing about Bey’s sixth studio album, which is just the way she wants it. Beyoncé seems to have entered a phase in her career in which her vision is clearer than ever, her confidence is unshakeable. Her recent performance at the Super Bowl made waves as expected all over the internet and she has outsold event places prior to her Formation Tour. Everybody will just have to be ready when her album drops because she will drop it and it would be as good as all her projects.

TRAFFIC by Vic Mensa - Last year was big for Ghanaian-roots young talented American based Vic Mensa. He signed with Roc' Nation and Kanye West. He had top single "U mad" featuring Kanye West which had big radio and airtime play worldwide. He’s set to capitalize on all this work in 2016 when he finally drops his long-promised debut album. He claims that Traffic will feature more of his newfound edge.

JANESIS by Efya - Ghana’s sensational songbird Efya hinted on a new album since 2013 and most fans have grown impatient of waiting. As the saying goes "good things take time", Efya has encouraged her fans to be patient and wait for what will be described as a “Perfect Album” when finally released.

On February 26, 2016, Efya held an album listening for her yet-to-be-released album, ‘Janesis’ at Twist Lounge. The album which features renowned African artistes like Stonebwoy, E.L, Ice Prince and many others already received some good ratings after the listening party.

It goes without saying that there are more albums you should look forward to this year, but I believe the aforementioned list will be massive and when they do, remember you read it here first!
